We’ve outgrown our warehouse in Morningside, Auckland and we’ve just moved to our new home at Rosebank Road, a couple of exits further along the Nor-Western motorway.
It was no small task! and it took us from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon to complete.
Here’s some interesting stats about the move:
- Our new office, showroom and warehouse is a massive 2,900 sqm – more than 3 times the size of our previous location
- We estimate that we can hold 35,000 products (SKUs)
- We used 3 trucks and the move took approx. 30 truck loads
- We hired 90 roll cages (cages on trolleys we used to carefully transport products) and we made about 700 roll-cage trips
- We had a truck arriving and leaving both warehouses on average every hour between 9 and 5 each day over 3 days
- Our new showroom is more than 7 times larger than our previous showroom
We had a crew of more than 80 people over the weekend helping load and unload and shelve and un-shelve at each location. It’s been a huge team effort and everyone’s stoked to move in and work in our new home – it’s so much bigger and going to be much easier to work in!
We were very pleased that by 9am Monday morning we were back to normal, shipping orders, and by Tuesday we had resumed same-day shipping making sure you get your orders super quickly!
